This is a failed QA axe but I don’t find anything wrong with it other than maybe a few blemishes in finish on the axe head. It is a ton of fun to throw and throws great. Several people in my league tried it and are impressed as well.
I ordered this axe, because I liked the shape of the blade. Got it on a Tuesday and had our League Tournament the next day. After some practice throws, I decided to use it in the tournament and Won! I am very happy with this one!
Love your axes my sons got me the jack of clubs for fathers day so now I have wait till the ace of spades goes on sale to complete my royal line up . The axes are top shelf for sure thanks for the great product
I like the Queen of hearts I like the way the axe feels when its thrown i also purchased the King of diamonds during your QA sale how ever the handle needed to smoothed out I stained it then threw a bullseye love the axes plan to purchase the Ace of spades to complete the set.
The handle was crooked by a mile, so i figured for the price i could try to repair it. I mig welded the eye on the sides that were bad and re machined it. Put on a new handle and bam!! Good as new and straight as an arrow.
I approach the cardboard rectangle on my porch. That label…Canada? Oh, snap! Opened! Snug & simple Velcro sheath revealed a stout hickory handle, nestled within brown packing paper, freed with all haste - releasing the shine - the polished sharpness - it has me running to the back yard. Effort; all I can manage to hold still this tree. Close to the bark now: shush… just listen, air splitting; a whisper straight through, my same size, 12 feet away. Heavy & deep seated, it makes itself part of the wood, effortless, accurate, heavy. Rotate this handle up to free the stubborn blade. Take care of this profile, thin and at home married through the holding grain of whichever tree grows in its way.
This unit does push ups the right way & it shows.
Even though these axes were selected as not perfect, you wouldn't hardly notice. Close inspection the irregularities can be seen, however doesn't take away from the joy I’ve received from these new models. Only wish I had ordered more!
This is my 2nd Jack of Clubs. Love both of them. Have thrown 56 with first one and 54 with the YUUUP! Let it be known when I bullseye by hollering out YUUUP! Lol. I have 1- Butcher, 2- Jack of Clubs, 1-Corporal. Just ordered 2- King of Diamonds, 1 WATL Competition (using these to practice with my partner for duels then we’ll use the KOD in league play) and two of another brand that I use when throwing doubles
For being a failed q/a this is a great axe my girlfriend loves it and has been throwing bullseyes since literally the first throw.. she even likes it better than her ace of spades.
Bought a qa reject and the flaw was in the handle. So when I need to replace the handle it will be perfect. Throws like a dream the jack is lighter than my Butcher but for some one who is often a hair lower than my target the offset is awesome. A bit unforgiving if you over rotate. The almost wedge like profile make me think it would be a swell duels axe.
This failed QA Jack of Clubs was my first higher quality axe for throwing. I could definitely tell that the head was off axis a little bit, but didn’t seem to effect the throw too much. I ended up snagging an Ace of Spades at my local range, and give this Jack of Clubs to my buddy. Who then proceeded to beat me in the next few matches haha. All in all it was a decent axe for half the price
I personally couldn’t tell the difference from a none QA to mine that is. As far as throwing. A slight difference in appearance but nothing that affects it’s throwing ability. I did stain the handle. Had to throw 150 throws to be seeded in a tournament. Last 50 was with this axe and had a avg of 49. Very pleased. Waiting for more QA specials. Thank you
This is my 3rd QA fail (Ace, Queen, Jack). I can tell why this failed QA. It doesn't hit the Kill dead center. It hits left of center of the kill circle. Oh well, get what you pay for. 😜😀
This is the 3rd QA fall I own. I have an Ace and a Jack. This Killer Queen feels great and throws as well as any one in my league's regular production Queen!
I got my first 60 with this axe. Honestly don’t know why it failed QA but I wish I would have bought 2. It’s an amazing axe.
(Picture not from 60 match)
Excellent value. It may not be perfect, but is close enough for your average Joe. If you are going to the world championships, maybe pay a little more for a full priced axe. No complaints and has held up well for first few weeks of throwing.
Very happy with the axes, exactly what I ordered and we're delivered quickly. Hope more are available soon, myself and friends would like to purchase more.
Ordered this QA Queen with a QA Jack of Clubs. The Jack was perfect. The head was very tilted on this Queen. No big deal. I was able to remove the head and re-fit it. All in all very pleased with this order. And it shipped fast also.
My King of Diamonds Failed QA came fast and in very decent condition. Looks like is was just a finish issue ... little blems in the finish. But everything else is great and it throws just fine!
