The Aztec is the best of the best!!! This axe instantly became my favorite thrower! It’s so lightweight and perfectly balanced that it feels more accurate than other axes. Not to mention the design is on a whole new level. If you are having a hard time deciding your next axe, do yourself a favor and pick up a Aztec!

I have weak joints from a medical condition but I LOVE throwing axes, and this axe is noticably less stressful for me to throw. I absolutely love it! My shoulders have a lot of nerve damage so I throw two handed, but this axe is actually light enough I can throw it one handed and get a bullseye without hurting myself! I've bought both variations, and my husband bought his own. All three have been absolutely perfect. The head is snug and the detail on the handle adds just the right amount of grip without needing tape. I'm absolutely in love. I'll be using this axe for my next amateur throwing league this fall!

Kit was great and axe sticks well. My only suggestion is to offer the cottonwood boards as a 4 ft option, since it would go well with the target plans I found on the website. Also, my stenciling skills could use a little practice. The Lieutenant throwing axe throws true and sticks in the target deep, much different than the range axes I have been used to throwing.

The handle looks nice, but the split portion was too short so I had to sand and cut away more of the handle for the top of the split section to be flush with the top my Jack Of Clubs axe head. While trying to hammer the handle into the head, the bottom of the handle splintered because of the sizing issue mentioned above. I was able to use wood glue to reattach a few splinters, but I mostly had to use it like resin to fill big space and then sand it to the correct shape.

Really the only issue was the eye had a slant half way up that made it hard to half on the handle. Profile was good the bit was sharp priced fairly and promptly shipped. Put it on a new premium hickory handle with Purple Heart wedge and barrel wedge.lite wrap charr

I love my “bad axe”. The extra weight is helping with my over rotation issues, the slightly flared head helps catch the wood even if I tip it in. It’s extremely well balanced. The snake insignia on the butt is very cool. I’ve let quite a few of my league members throw it and it’s been a big hit!

Mario, Unfortunately the Pro KOD head I received had a bit that was twisted to the right. I reported the issue to logistics and sent additional pics last night. I was able to use the head by making some adjustments to the hang but really wish the pro level heads had better QC. This will be the second or third Pro head I’ve received in the last year or so in as many orders that was not perfect. You’ve always rectified it by replacing the head. I don’t need a free head this time since I made it work and this customer isn’t that picky. Overall the hatchet turned out fine Thanks Brad Vintage Axe Revival
