"OTHER THING I LIKE IS THAT THESE ARE BASICALLY READY TO GO RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. I DON'T HAVE TO SHARPEN THEM, CHANGE THE HANDLE OR DO ANYTHING WITH IT."
Let John tell you all about why you should choose WATL axes. Oh and he'll show you too!
Own 5 of the Axes would have got a better review had the handle of the Butcher not had gone bad extremely fast . Enjoy throwing them but for the money should hold up better .
Like it. The company is a little too proud of it, given the cost. Should be about $20 less.
Best place to shop!
Good throwing axe...bit on the heavy side my taste but the quality superb. I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone.
Received my order in timely manner, but my son ordered a butcher and never received it. After multiple contacts, it was traced to Illinois. He still has not received, replaced or refunded after 2 months. Not good business.
Really pleased with the quality of the Bad Axe. Good, fast service ordering from WATL.
The Bad Axe gen 2 is great! It sinks into boards with ease, not much power needed.
I love my new hacks I have most of the ones that you sell one that I would like to be on the list to get as soon as you start production is the ace of spades
I had an issue with the Post office damaging the package and losing an axe I got from WATL grab bag. Their customer service was awesome, refunding me the purchase price even though it wasn't their fault, along with a $25 credit towards a new axe. Their axes are awesome and glad to say so are they.
Took forever to receive Bad Axe through the mail but finally received it and happy.
We recently joined an axe throwing league and didn't like the throwing axes they provided. We really like the Bad Axe and have named our team after your axe.
My third WATL axe and once again I’m very pleased.
I have bought a butcher, ace of spades and bad axe gen 1 and gen 2. 1st gen bad axe is by far my favourite, I find the second generation has the issues of the blade profile being too thick and the over all weight too heavy, absolutely love the first gen. Bad axe though
Bad ass axe.
This axe is perfect for me. I like a heavier axe and the blade is so fine. I did not drop a single throw during the fall season of our league. It is an easy throw. I highly recommend this axe!
The first axe I purchased was either too sharp or it wasn't made tough enough and I quickly destroyed the sharp edge of the axe. When I got the other axe in I went to test it out and it did great! It stuck into the wood really well and I think it is great! I can't wait to continue to use it and get better with it the more I use it.
Probably my second favorite axe behind the Butcher throws well and sticks better than any other throwing axe I own, even in pine.
Well built axe but not my favorite. Few more drops with this axe then any of the others in the line up.
Plus when I got it it had some flaws in the logo.
This axe throws great and sticks even better. Holds a nice edge as well, ask my thumb.
Being new to axe throwing. I purchased the Bad Axe . What an amazing hatchet . Well balanced and so easy to stick . It has changed my game tremendously.
I love this axe! I haven't had any issues with the handle. It hits well I'm accurate with it and couldn't be happier. I did some wood burning and Engraving on the axe head and handle Just My Personal Touch but the axe is fantastic.
Great axe I use it for my local axe throwing league. Only complaint was the edge was a bit thin and got nicked up a bit at first. But for the almost daily amount I use it, it’s probably my favorite axe.
What can I say about this axe other than that it is the perfect thrower (for me and my throwing style at least). Be mindful though! This is not a beginner level axe! The blade is super thin compared to the WATL competition thrower (a.k.a. “The white head” to some) and can be damaged easily if thrown improperly or if it does not stick in the target and lands on the ground in just the right way. WATL themselves even classifies this as an intermediate level axe for those who’ve mastered the basics of their throwing techniques. In terms of balance and weight, it is what some would consider to be a “heavier” axe, but is very similar in the way that it “feels” when throwing it compared to the WATL white head competition thrower. This makes it the perfect transition axe, or as WATL calls it, once again, an intermediate level thrower. I highly recommend this axe to any axe throwing enthusiasts who are looking for a next level axe to step up from the standard grade “house axe” style axes.
If you like throwing stuff....especially edged weapons... these axe's are the best available. They are higher priced than most... but you DO get what you pay for and these are definitely worth the price. Highly recommended.
Easy to throw for a Newbie like me. I can't wait to go kill some redcoats (upturned tree stumps and dead trees)
