As a beginner axe thrower I'm finding throwing The corporal has improved my game with less drops and the weight feels balanced.
After watching a few WATL YouTube tutorials, I feel like this AX is easy to throw and looks great too!

I love this axe! At first I thought the Queen of Hearts would be the axe for me, but then I got the Corporal and I love it! I still drop now and then, but this has been the best axe I’ve thrown. Practice makes better and I’ve got more kill shots
I love the axe! Slightly heavier than the others which I prefer. Only one side of the handle had been treated though. Other side was still naked. Already bought a Bad axe too, for a friend.

Ever since i started throwing the Corporal main scores have improved. Took a little practice getting use to how it throws but after that it has been my go to axe. The weight is perfect for me and couldn't ask for anything else. Supreme product.
Game changer! Perfect weight, next to never drops or bounces back at me. Nicely balanced. Perfection!
My brother and I have never been axe throwing. We thought it would be fun, so we went and used the house axes. We had some coaching and eventually we started to stick the axe about 50% of the time. So I googled throwing axes and found the WATL website. I bought the “corporal” and started throwing it as soon as I got it. In a half hour of throwing, only once did the axe hit the floor. This was only the 3rd time I ever had thrown an axe. So I bought 2 more “corporal” axes for my brother and brother-in-law. They both love these axes. If I ever buy another axe it will be from WATL.
I love The Corporal!!! I had read somewhere that this axe’s heavier head helps hard throwers control their shot better and, I have to say, I could feel the difference the first time I used it. I’ve only been throwing for a few weeks and I am so much more consistent now than I was my first week. I also finally got my first kill shot! And that fish hook design practically ensures drops will be kept at a minimum.
Axe showed up earlier then expected and as expected. It was sharp right out of the box. I Sanded off the handle and did some burning to customize it for a Christmas present.
I just upgraded to the Corporal, from the WATL Competition Thrower, and immediately noticed a difference! I have only dropped 3 times in the past few hundred throws (hitting large knots). The weight of the Axe allows you to focus on form and not strength; it cuts into the boards like butter! The large square handle fits my hand perfectly and allows me to throw very straight with ease. I have an Ace of Spades on its way and can’t wait to compare them. -FAX
Love the fish hook design! It will just hang in there some times. My target has taken some wear due to being outside and the weather, but all the WATL axes I have stick well no matter what.

I really like this axe. The craftsmanship is excellent. I think the blade design and weight really help this axe stick into the wood. I've been theistic the axe for about a month and it is working and looking as good as the day I got it.

This is replacing "The Bad Axe" for Winter league. It throws pretty differently, for me -- but I _really_ like the weight distribution and am looking forward to getting the rotation perfected. The profile is a little thick on the top, which hasn't helped -- I'm looking into cleaning up. The varnish on the head is pretty thick in places and detracts from the appearance significantly, but that matters little. The varnish on the handle isn't for me, but should be easy to remove.
Won my first competition with the corporal. Weight is great and even compared to a butcher I notice I have a much easier time on harder pine or dry boards. Never throwing anything else
I freaking love the Corporal. The heavier head allows me to focus more on my technique and less on power. I get more consistent throws during practice leading to more successes in competition.
I love my corporal. It’s my favorite axe in the WATL line up. I have two now and honestly don’t see myself throwing anything else.

I absolutely love this axe it's great quality with just the right weight and very accurate that has improved my game. I would definitely recommend this axe to anyone whether you are new to axe throwing or have been throwing for years.
Bought the Corporal after using trying all the tryout models at my local venue Grizzly Axes and instantly k ew this axe was the one for me. I have sinced joind our axe league and every league night my scores have gone up greatly in the first 3 weeks of league play! I have sinced got one of my buddies to buy one and he has replaced his Competition model for the Corporal.

I bought 2 of these and one showed up perfect but the second one showed up and the edge is ground very unevenly to the point there are clear dips along it
I like the wider blade and the heft. I have less drops and more bullseyes with this axe.
